Invisalign is an orthodontic appliance which moves the teeth by a series of removable clear aligners which are fully customised.

The suitability or otherwise for Invisalign treatment will be assessed at the initial consultation. Once the patient decides for Invisalign, an intra-oral digital scan with the iTero scanner is taken, as well as a set of digital photographs. These digital records , together with the orthodontic prescription, are uploaded on the Invisalign website. After a few days, the proposed treatment will be sent in the form of a digital video – the new smile can be seen and the duration of treatment confirmed.

Once the treatment proposal is accepted, the full set of aligners will be delivered and the patient booked in to start Invisalign.

Invisalign has several advantages over conventional fixed braces: the aligners are removed for eating and cleaning and there are practically no breakages during treatment. Patients on Invisalign do not need to attend regularly for appointments ( as distinct from other braces).
