At Southgate Dental Centre these words guide us in all that we do. We aim to achieve excellence in our clinical care, the results our treatments achieve and our levels of customer service. Our team is highly qualified and experienced, and we all enjoy expanding our knowledge and skills at local and international lectures and courses. We use only the treatments that are proven to be effective and talk our patients through any treatment options they may have so they can make an informed decision.

Dr. Mark Sciberras

B.Ch.D. (Hons), MSc (Lond), D.Orth, M.Orth.RCS, FDSRCS (Eng), Dip,Hlth,Mgt (Keele)

Mark qualified in Malta in 1985 and then completed a 3-year postgraduate course in orthodontics at Guy's Hospital, London and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. He has worked as a hospital consultant in child dental health and orthodontics and is recognised as a specialist in orthodontics. He was a lecturer at the University of Malta. Mark has completed course in implantology and aesthetic dentistry, and is a registered Invisalign (R), WIN (R) and FirstFit (R) practitioner.

Dr. Miriam Sciberras

B.Ch.D. (Hons), MA Bioethics Malta

Miriam qualified in Malta in 1990 with First Class Honours, and spent a year working in prosthetic dentistry (replacing missing teeth) at Guy's Hospital in London. She also completed an intensive implantology course in Sheffield, UK, in 1990, giving her many years of experience in this challenging field. Miriam works at the practice three mornings a week, focusing on prosthetics and dentures.

Dr. Gabriel Sciberras

MDS (Melit.)

Gabriel qualified with his Master of Dental Surgery with Distinction in 2025 and is the son of Dr Mark & Dr Miriam. Still in the early stages of his career, he is currently exploring areas of continuing education while focusing on providing quality general dental care.

Saviour Seychell

Dental Hygenist

Saviour Seychell is a Dental Hygienist with more than 30 years of clinical experience in both private and public healthcare. He joined Southgate Dental Clinic in 1995 after qualifying in 1992.
At Southgate Dental Clinic, Saviour works closely with specialists in implant dentistry and orthodontics, helping patients maintain healthy gums and stable implant sites. He also plays an active role in periodontal care and the management of gum disease.
